The original developers, the Mackie brothers, created the Deltona Corporation to develop and manage the St Augustine Shores community. Included in the original plan were an elementary school and worship facilities. The original models ranged from a 1 bedroom 1 bath model to 4 bedroom 2 bath homes with 660 to 1448 sq ft. Later development included homes ranging up to 2500 sq ft. Recent homes by Toll Brothers offer 2500 to 3300 sq ft. Also included in more recent years are townhomes and condos. There are community facilities such as swimming pools, a community center, boat ramps and a golf course.
Homebuyers today will find resale homes priced in St Augustine Shores in a range from the $100's to over $500,000. Developers are building new homes with prices starting around $300,000.
